Julia soldering websiteMy interest in all that glitters began during my childhood in England. Fascinated by the materials around me, I studied Materials Science and Metallurgy at Cambridge University where I learnt the fundamental building blocks of my career and craft. Nowadays, my day job as a materials engineer involves researching and testing components of automotive glazing, but outside the lab I use my skills to explore the creative potential of materials.

I have taken a wide range of jewelry related classes at the Toledo Museum of Art, as well as workshops around the country, and as a scientist am pretty comfortable with experimentation as a means of developing my jewelry skills.
